Catholic Schools Week

This week is one of our favorite weeks. Catholic Schools week is a time to celebrate the amazing school we all belong too. The week is filled with fun dress up days, celebrating as a whole school, and learning why being at Lumen Christi is so special. Today was "What do you want to be when you grow up" day. The kids all had amazing costumes and stories to share :)!

Groundhog Day

Today in class we talked about Groundhogs day and made predictions if he will see his shadow or not!

How To's

Both 5K classes wrapped up their How To units with writing a How To on how to make a smoothie and then following those instructions to make an actual smoothie!

Happy New Year

WOW! We cannot believe it is already January! We hope you all had an amazing break. We started the new year off with our rain forest unit :)! We also welcomed a new friend into 5K! Sam is in Mrs. Leyrer's class and we are SO happy to have him!

Gingerbread Hunt and Gingerbread Houses!

What an amazing day in 5K. We went on a gingerbread bear hunt around the school and found a bag of gingerbread bear cookies waiting for us at the end! After, we all celebrated the Christmas season by decorating our own gingerbread houses and sneaking licks of frosting when Mrs. Leyrer and Miss K weren't looking ;)!

St. Nick

Look who came to school!!! St. Nick and our Kindness Elves worked hard to make it a fun and magical morning in 5K today :)!
